# Fix compatibility issue with LiteSpeed caching plugin

## The problem

The universal SEO metabox doesn’t save data, or the data are not updated in real time when using LiteSpeed caching plugin with SEOPress.

## The solution

Apply these options in this order. Depending on your configuration, it might not be necessary to apply them all. We suggest you to test the universal SEO metabox after updating a setting to see if the problem is solved.

### Disable REST API cache

Go to your **WordPress admin**, **LiteSpeed Cache**, **Cache** settings page, **Cache** tab.

Set “**Cache REST API** ” option to **OFF**.

Click **Save changes** button.

### Do not cache roles

Go to **LiteSpeed Cache**, **Cache**, **Excludes** tab, and check your user role (usually administrator) from “**Do Not Cache Roles**” option.

Click **Save changes** button.

### Disable cache for logged-in users

From **LiteSpeed Cache**, **Cache** tab and uncheck “**Cache Logged-in Users**“.

Click **Save changes** button.
