Unlimited manual schemas, Google Analytics v4 – SEOPress 4.2 update release

SEOPress 4.2 is now available. We encourage you to update your site as soon as possible to take advantage of the latest features and improvements.

🎉 New – Unlimited manual schemas per post / page / single post type

The most awaited feature for months! You can now add unlimited schemas from our Structured data types metabox when you edit a post content.

🎉 New – FAQ block with schema support for the Block Editor

Our first block for Gutenberg the Block Editor is now available. Quickly add a FAQ to your post content, enable the FAQ schema in one click, change the look and feel. Easy!

🎉 New – Google Analytics v4

Few weeks ago, Google has launched its new version of Google Analytics. We are following closely these changes in order to reflect them in SEOPress. A new field has been added to SEO, Analytics page to enter your measurement ID.

Google has not yet migrated all its API and features to this new version. As mention in their official documentation, we strongly encourage you to dual tag your site, ie, creating a Universal Property AND a GA4 property from Google Analytics website. Then enter your UA-XXXXX and G-XXXX Ids to SEOPress. This is currently the only way to also have the stats in dashboard because the PHP API is still not available from Google developers website.

🎉 Other news – WordPress 5.6 compatibility, Oxygen images to XML sitemaps, performance improvement for GA widget in dashboard

WordPress 5.6 has been released yesterday, good news we are already compatible!

We now automatically add images from Oxygen page builder to our XML image sitemap.

Matomo users can now disable in one click heatmaps and session recordings.

We have added a visual feedback to our user interface when saving changes.

A CRON (schedule task) is now requesting your Google Analytics stats for our dashboard widget to improve performance.

We also improve compatibility with Easy Digital Downloads, MalCure and WooCommerce plugins.

New hooks are available for the developers:

We hope you will enjoy this new release! It was a long process. New blocks will be added soon. As well as new types of schemas.
