π New β Composer for developers
Composer is a very popular PHP dependency manager used by many developers and web agencies. It’s a convenient way to update and manage dependencies for a web project.
You can use Composer to pass your license key and automatically download the ZIP file of our PRO version. Then it will be extracted to the plugins directory of your WordPress project.
A significant time saving, increased productivity, and easier management!
This was our oldest issue on our Github and it’s finally solved!

π New β Import Yoast global settings
With this new update, we are also taking care of migrating your global settings from Yoast to SEOPress.
Now, our import tool, migrates:
- Global settings
- Title tags
- Meta description
- Facebook Open Graph tags (title, description and image thumbnail)
- X tags (title, description and image thumbnail)
- Meta Robots (noindex, nofollow…)
- Canonical URL
- Focus / target keywords
- Primary category
- Breadcrumb Title
Another time saver!
π New β Support for WooCommerce GTIN
WooCommerce recently added the ability to enter a Global Trade Identification Number (GTIN) for a simple and/or variable product.
Until now, SEOPress PRO added these fields. From now on, we’ll also use WooCommerce’s native field. And SEOPress’s GTINs as fallbacks.
Note that WooCommerce doesn’t allow you to choose the type of global identifier, unlike SEOPress (e.g., ISBN, GTIN8, etc.).
These data are used to build the product schema.
π Other news
This new version of SEOPress also brings its share of improvements and fixes including:
- generate alternative texts with AI for missing alt text only from the media library + WP CLI command;
- add a notification counter in the admin bar to alert you about important things to check or fix for your SEO;
- improve UI and UX;
- a better support for PHP 8.4;
- and more!
For developers, we have added a hook to filter the new notification counter in the WP admin bar.
