Faster Sitemaps, Smarter Code, Better SEO – SEOPress 9.3

SEOPress 9.3 is now available. We encourage you to update your site as soon as possible to take advantage of the latest features, improvements, and fixes.

🎉 New – Massive Performance Boost for XML Sitemaps

We’ve completely redesigned how SEOPress generates XML sitemaps, with a special focus on large-scale websites containing more than 30,000 posts, pages, or products.

Thanks to this deep optimization, sitemap generation is now up to 9 times faster, delivering an average performance gain of 800%.

In practice, this means drastically reduced loading times, and faster, more efficient indexing of your content by search engines, even for the biggest websites.

🎉 New – A New Step Toward a Stronger, More Reliable SEOPress

SEOPress 9.3 marks the beginning of a major long-term project: the standardization and progressive refactoring of our codebase. Our goal is simple: to deliver an even more reliable, high-performance, and future-proof SEO solution for all our users.

This update lays the foundation for that effort by introducing PHPCS/WPCS (PHP CodeSniffer / WordPress Coding Standards) to the free version of SEOPress. This ensures our code fully aligns with official WordPress development standards, improving overall quality and long-term compatibility.

Next, we’ll extend this work to SEOPress PRO, and then to SEOPress Insights, gradually unifying our development practices across the entire SEOPress ecosystem. It’s a behind-the-scenes evolution, one that might go unnoticed day-to-day, but is essential for building an even stronger foundation for SEOPress’s future.
