Set different LocalBusiness opening hours for each location

A directory or multi-location business needs each location’s schema to describe its own address and opening hours. SEOPress PRO 10.2 supports opening hours on individual content and per-post hour mapping in automatic LocalBusiness schemas.

Create a separate page or custom post for each establishment. Do not put two unrelated locations under one set of shared business details.

Plan the data for each location

For example, one location opens Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 18:00; another opens Tuesday to Saturday continuously from 10:00 to 19:00. Keep their names, addresses, phone numbers and images distinct too. Publish these details visibly on the corresponding pages.

The global SEO, PRO, Local Business settings describe the business configured there. Editing those shared settings is not a substitute for entering two sets of location-specific schema data.

Option 1: a manual schema on each page

  1. Enable Structured Data Types and the schema metabox in SEO, PRO.
  2. Edit the first location page and add a manual Local Business schema in the SEO metabox.
  3. Fill in that establishment’s name, type, address, contact details and image.
  4. Complete Opening hours: set open and closed days, enable the needed time slots and enter their start and end times.
  5. Update the page. Repeat on the second location with its own values.

Morning and afternoon are simply time slots. For 10:00–19:00 continuous opening, use a single slot. For a lunch break, use two. Mark closed days as closed rather than entering opening times for them.

Option 2: one automatic template with individual hours

  1. Open SEO, Schemas, add a Local Business schema and target only your location pages or location post type.
  2. Map the name, address and other location-specific properties to suitable custom fields, dynamic variables or manual values on each post.
  3. For Opening hours, choose Manual opening hours on each post. The alternative Manual opening hours stores hours in the template and is appropriate only when matching locations share them.
  4. Click Save schema.
  5. Edit each matching location, open the SEO metabox’s Schemas / Automatic section and complete its opening hours and other individual values.
  6. Update each page and clear its cache.

Choose one approach for the same business on the same page. Combining a manual schema and an overlapping automatic template can create duplicate LocalBusiness entities.

Verify both locations

Use the automatic editor’s JSON-LD preview with each location in turn, then test both public URLs with Google’s Rich Results Test or Schema.org Validator. Inspect openingHoursSpecification, dayOfWeek, opens and closes, together with the address and name.

Check that the first location has its two intervals, the second its continuous interval, and closed days are not described as normal opening days. If the same hours appear everywhere, check the template’s source selection and the values saved on each page.

Keep display and schema consistent

Per-content schema values do not automatically rewrite your visible opening-hours text or every shared widget. Review the Local Business block and widget separately, especially in a shared footer. In the public 10.2 workflow, do not assume that global display fields automatically switch to each location’s manual schema. Display the correct local hours on each page and validate both the HTML and structured data.
