WordCamp Europe is the world’s largest gathering of the WordPress community: for 3 days, 3,000 people will discuss, attend conferences and workshops, meet theme and plugin editors and other sponsors. A look back at this event which took place from June 2 to 4, 2022 in Porto (Super Bock Arena).

Valuing human contact

We prepared well for WordCamp Europe, with a whole range of communication media that did not miss their objectives!
In the list there was: a presentation video played in loop on the television of our booth, double-sided flyers presenting SEOPress Free, SEOPress PRO and SEOPress Insights, holographic stickers which disappeared faster than we would have imagined, business cards in the colors of our products, as well as postcards for the enjoyment of all participants.

Benefiting from a privileged location, just in front of the restaurant and the aid stations, we have received many congratulations and encouragement from current customers. It was very enriching and rewarding to exchange with them. And we have thanks to their feedback even more ideas for our next updates.

For those who didn’t know us yet, we were able to answer many questions, the main one being “what more do you offer than other SEO alternatives?” and we always answered “All the features you need, but in white label, without advertising, without data collection and above all at a price never envisaged for unlimited installations. Not to mention our exclusive feature: the universal SEO metabox which allows you to edit all your SEO metadata directly from the user interface of your favorite page builder”.

Knowledge for all

The topic that most interested us was moderated by Sofie Couwenbergh and was titled “How to create clear briefings for posts that’ll rank”. Organized as a workshop, the goal was to gather, structure and present all the information writers need to create an article that has the best chance of ranking well on Google.

There was also “Let’s build (and sell) an online course” which covered technical topics, from installing to configuring a WooCommerce LMS plugin. But also more editorial themes, by deepening the creation of the actual content of the online course.

Finally, among the many lively sessions, we loved the lecture “Building Data-Driven Content Characters”. Presented as a powerful value-creating lever, the tips for setting it up are as easy to set up as they are great to use.

A nice surprise is coming

The big surprise that we had prepared for you exclusively for this event was a book of good SEO practices. More than 400 pages, tutorials, tips and case studies, to optimize the SEO of your website! Needless to say, they were gone in a flash. So we decided to perpetuate the production and to offer you this book for sale on our website (English and French). Stay tuned, the first comprehensive SEO guide is coming soon!

A very positive result!

Seeing each other again in real life did us a lot of good! Porto is a very beautiful city on a human scale and warm. The organization of this WordCamp was at the top, we send them our congratulations! See you next year in Athens?
