π New β Site audit second iteration
We have worked hard to bring you an even more efficient and effective version of our site audit.
New settings appear from the dedicated tab in order to be able to receive an email alert as soon as the audit is finished. It is also possible to choose which types of publication to analyze.
You can alsoΒ ignore specific issues by just clicking the dedicated button whatever the reasons.
The export CSV feature has been improved to provide a cleaner file.
Some improvements on the UI side by displaying the scan duration, and optimizing the sorting of values ββby columns.
Finally, several fixes have been made to avoid false positives, PHP errors or incorrect database records.
We want to thank our users for the overwhelming positive feedback we’ve received. It’s motivating and we can’t wait to continue to improve this feature.
π New β Enhanced Image SEO
SEOPress already offers many options to optimize the SEO of your media, especially your images and videos, in search engines.
With the addition of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in the PRO version, it is even easier and faster to optimize your alternative text tags.
But a recurring problem often came back to support:
“I added alternative texts in bulk to my media library, but I don’t see them appear in my existing content”.
Indeed, media management being what it is in WordPress, a media already inserted will not benefit from the changes made via the media library such as a caption, a title or an alternative text.
This is now a thing of the past thanks to our new option to automatically add missing alternative texts to your existing content, all on the fly.
You just have to activate the option from SEO, Advanced, Image SEO tab, by checking “Apply the alt text defined in your media library for already inserted images“.
Save changes and clear your cache if necessary.
This option is now activated by default on any new installation of SEOPress.

This new version of SEOPress also brings its share of improvements and fixes including:
- quickly add new WooCommerce default rules to your robots.txt (SEO, PRO, robots.txt tab) ;
- better compatibility with The7 theme and MalCare plugin ;
- redirect import tool from a CSV has been improved ;
- 3 new hooks for developers (see changelog below) and 1 updated ;
- some PHP notices and warnings.
