Google Analytics 4 (GA4) stats in WP Dashboard, HTML Sitemap block, AMP compatibility – SEOPress 5.9

🎉 New – GA4 stats in dashboard widget

You can finally visualize your analytics stats right from your WordPress dashboard! Go to SEO, Analytics, Google Analytics, Stats in dashboard section to enter your GA4 property ID.

Go back to your WordPress dashboard to see them: visitors, sessions, page views and more.

Your Google Analytics statistics are also visible from the SEOPress dashboard (SEO page).

Note that this widget, compare to the one for Universal Analytics properties, will display less metrics due to GA4 API, which is, currently, more restrictive.

🎉 New – HTML Sitemap block for the Block Editor

It’s now super easy to add an HTML sitemap to your page with our brand new block for Gutenberg.

With the /sitemap command from the editor, you can generate dynamically an HTML sitemap for your visitors.

From the Block Panel, you can define which post types to show and change the look and feel: colors, padding, font etc.

5 blocks are now available for the Block Editor:

• FAQ,
• Breadcrumbs,
• How-to,
• Local Business,
• HTML Sitemap.

🎉 New – AMP compatibility

Even if AMP is a controversial project, we now support the official AMP WordPress plugin with SEOPress. You should stop seeing errors from our plugin when using it. This is entirely done automatically, nothing to activate or configure.

This is our first iteration, feedbacks are welcome!

We continue to refactor our code for better performance and maintainability.

We have also fixed:

• word counters and keyword density for Oxygen v4
• duplicated SEOPress beacon with Bricks builder when you edit your homepage
• no more strange characters in our Google Preview from the Universal SEO metabox

A new hook “seopress_link_attrs” is available to filter link attribute on post content.

We have removed “Disable trailing slash for metas” option, this is now completely automatic.
