Standalone, REST API, Custom Caps – SEOPress Insights 2.0

SEOPress Insights 2.0 is now available. We encourage you to update your site as soon as possible to take advantage of the latest features and improvements.

🎉 New – SEOPress Insights is now standalone!

SEOPress Free is no longer required to use SEOPress Insights.

You can now track your rankings and backlinks directly from your WordPress admin with the SEO plugin of your choice.

🎉 New – Custom capabilities

Each Insights screen has now its own custom capability.

It is therefore possible to finely configure access to Insights for each user role according to your needs.

We recommend User Role Editor plugin to easily handle this.

🎉 New – REST API for SEOPress Insights

Developers can easily access their keyword tracking, competition, and backlink data thanks to the new API routes added in this release.

Authentication is done via an application password, as is the case for the rest of the SEOPress API.

🎉 Other news

We have refactored a lot of code to provide a better user experience and performances.

Several reported issues by our users have been fixed (see changelog below for more details).

A new hook has been added to filter the required user capability for our WP dashboard widget.

Finally, you can now add your SEOPress Insights license key to your wp-config.php file, similar to SEOPress PRO.
